Project Wins Knight Arts Challenge 2012
The Project [theatre] is beyond excited to announce that we have been honored by the Knight Foundation as a one of 34 companies that were awarded a total of $28.2 million from the Knight Arts Challenge last night at the New World Center in Miami Beach.
Our proposal to “innovate the theatrical experience” was selected from over 1,100 submissions and awarded a total of $25,000 that we will fundraise to match over a period of two years.
This ensures that in 2013, the Project will work towards bringing an exciting array of programs and productions to the Miami community including developing large-scale immersive theatre events around the city, and creating cultural exchanges with similar companies from around the country and around the world. We will continue to develop our work in Miami and bring it to a national stage.
